Project Director Tom Främling marks that offshore pipelaying works are the biggest part of the project. The next stage of the project implementation is shielding works which are being carried out simultaneously with pipelaying. Shielding works are expected to be finished in July, and in July-August Balticconnector will run pressure test. According to the plan, the connection of the offshore and onshore segments of the pipeline will be carried out in autumn after the pipeline being emptied and dried.

By now project goes as planned and Balticconnector expects to put the pipeline into operation by the end of 2019. You can discuss this and other cross-countries pipeline projects during the plenary session at the Transportation Oil and Gas Congress 2020.
