First in-person TOGC: Midstream Leaders Meet in Switzerland

This year, we were excited to welcome more than 300 pipeline professionals at our first in-person event after the pandemic - Transportation Oil and Gas Congress 2022! Midstream CEOs, CIOs, COOs, CFOs, Commercial Directors, Heads of Technical Departments, and leading technical specialists finally met in person on February 21-22 in Zurich, Switzerland to discuss trending topics of oil & gas transportation, enjoy face-to-face networking, and find new investors, partners, and customers!
The two-day Congress took place at Movenpick Hotel Zurich Regensdorf and connected representatives from 190+ O&G companies, including AVEVA, Shell, Petro IT, Aker BP, Trapil, GASCADE Gastransport, Linde, Total Energies, Gazprom, and Korea Gas Corporation.
Over the course of 7 sessions, 1 panel discussion, and 1 roundtable, more than 50 expert speakers presented their insights on most pressing issues of pipeline transportation: digital transformation, energy transition and the future of O&G supply, crisis management and workplace health and safety, and more.
Strategic sessions gained the most attention of our attendees. The first day of the Congress began with the plenary session - “Cross-countries pipeline projects: commercial future and regulatory issues”, where C-level executives discussed the future of pipeline networks in Europe and took an in-depth look at some of the most promising projects and innovations in pipeline construction.
Dr. Christoph von dem Bussche, Managing Director at GASCADE Gastransport, spoke on the methodology of investing in new projects while simultaneously utilising the existing infrastructure. The presentation covered EUGAL - the pipeline from the Baltic Sea to the Czech Republic - and GASCADE’s AquaDuctus project that usitlises the existing gas pipeline for transporting hydrogen produced offshore to Heligoland and the German mainland. Marija Savova, Head of Commercial at Trans Adriatic Pipeline, told the audience about the progress of one of the most strategic pipeline projects in Europe, its market test and project expansion scenarios during her presentation “TAP: One year delivering gas to Europe”. Abhay Chand, CEO at Petro IT, shared an evaluation of the ways the current mobile, Internet, and GIS technologies could be used in concert to make pipeline construction more efficient, and lead to a very high level of traceability and quality control.
Day 2 of TOGC 2022 started with a panel discussion on sustainability and strategies for carbon neutrality. Delegates were excited to explore the topic of the energy transition during the roundtable session dedicated to LNG, biogas, hydrogen, and other alternative fuels, and their influence on the pipeline market.
Our attendees also had an excellent opportunity to discover the latest midstream solutions and services firsthand at the TOGC 2022 Focus Exhibition and Tech zones! During the 2 days of the event, Focus Exhibition became the real beating heart of the Congress, with delegates exploring new technologies and securing new contracts and partnerships.
We make sure to provide the best platform for efficient networking, and give our participants direct access to negotiations with potential partners. This year, we organised over 250 B2B meetings.
Thank you to all the participants and sponsors of TOGC 2022 for making this Congress a big success! We appreciate your continued support and passion for the oil and gas industry. It was a pleasure to see each and every one of you at the Congress, and we really hope to see you again next year at TOGC 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey. Request the business programme.
